What pisses me off about all the Meryl/Milly I've read most is that it always comes back to Vash and Wolfwood. I mean, it's hard not to mention them, they're main characters. But the excuse for Me/Mi seems to be, "Well, the men aren't there! So they do it with each other!" Now, I understand that towards the end of the series, they're alone together, both angsting over their men. But there's a whole lotta space early in the series, or pre-series, when they're alone together, and that's it. Two women, travelling the world. I prefer to set Me/Mi then, because it's happy and cute. And Me/Mi is best HAPPY AND CUTE, DAMMIT. If I wanted angsty gnashing of teeth sex fic, I'd be a yaoi fan.
