Adventures in COWTOWN!

Moo.

Met up with irenak yesterday for wacky adventures in Cowtown. (For those not in the know, Cowtown is a Rodeo/Flea Market in the Delaware Valley. All the bootleg brand names money can buy.) We picked up much of the chintzy jewelry. Then she got a sword (She's a ninja! It's her birthday!) and I got a cat o' nine tails just because. Cowtown is neato.

It was early when we were done, so we headed back to her place, where a big tv and anime live. We watched Fruits Basket WHICH I NOW LOVE WITH ALL MY LITTLE KITTY HEART and I finally got around to seeing Castle of Cagliostro (shut up, yes I only JUST saw it.) It's a fun movie, because everyone gets to kick ass.

irenak: So is Lupin French-Japanese?
fadingembers: You know, I don't think I've ever seen that discussed. I mean, he's French, his grandfather was Arsene Lupin. Maybe that explains his womanizing.
irenak: And why he smokes so much.
fadingembers: And why he saluted Hitler in Mystery of Mamo.

Then we talked about a Harry Potter/Lupin III crossover, which would be funny. (irenak: Snape has a distant Muggle cousin named Zenigata, don't you know?)

I still need to find good images to make a Lupin/Meryl otp icon because I'm a sick fuck.

Who's with us?

You know, I forgot to mention what I thought was the funniest part of our day.

We're having lunch in Cowtown, talking about the laptop I just ordered, and various internet providers.

irenak: Some days, I want to just throw away all my electronic stuff and live on a commune. No modems, no computers, no tv, just raise vegetables all day. ...But then I'd want to read fanfic and I'd want a computer.

fadingembers: What if it were a fandom commune? We could raise vegetables and animals and then sit around and talk fic!

irenak: And the only electronic thing allowed on the commune would be a big screen TV and a DVD player.

fadingembers: And we could sell vegetables to buy new DVDs.
