I like Get Fuzzy, and I also liked the live-action Scooby Doo flick, but something about this doesn't set right with me. From Animation World News:
BEAUTY & THE BEAST DIRECTOR MAKES LIVE-ACTION DEBUT WITH GET FUZZY.
LION KING- director Rob Minkoff's Sprocketdyne Entertainment has signed a deal with United Media to transform Darby Conley's comic strip GET FUZZY into a CGI-enhanced live-action feature, reported DAILY VARIETY. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME director Kirk Wise will be making his live-action debut on the project. Wise has been developing the project with Conley. Minkoff and his partner Jason Clark will produce the picture, with their Sprocketdyne vp of development Warren Davis co-producing. The witty comic follows single, good-natured ad man, Rob Wilco, and his moody cat Bucky and laid-back dog Satchel.

FELLOWSHIP & TWO TOWER EXTENDED EDITIONS COMING TO THEATERS.
In anticipation of the release of the final film in the series, New Line Cinema has decided to release the extended editions of THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING and THE TWO TOWERS. FELLOWSHIP will be released on December 5, 2003 in approximately 150 screens across North America followed by TWO TOWERS on December 12. Some theaters will present the two films back-to-back on December 8 and 15. Then, on December 16, participating theaters will show a one-time-only marathon of both Extended Editions followed by an 11 pm screening of THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING. The official opening of THE RETURN OF THE KING will be December 17, 2003.
