Apr. 4th, 2003 11:18 pmBen Folds has been taken down, but I still offer more in the way of music videoness. With a bit of animation thrown in.
Jem Opening Video
That's right, this week's Rowan offer is chock fulla Jem.
A few offerings from Main Character and the Holograms:
Love Will Show the Way
Truly Outrageous. No, not the theme song, though they sound suspiciously similar.
And the Misfits...
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, which is just a fun spoiled personness song.
I'm Gonna Change which is technically a Roxy only song, but she's a Misfit, so it goes here schna.
And just for Alyson, the Stingers -
Destiny
Let Me Be which is an "Awwwww" worthy song. "Rio's a douchebag, Jem! Go for Riot!"

Heh. Otherwise known as the "Riot is here and he's queer - get over it" song from the "Riot is very, very gay" episode? He wouldn't know what to do with Jem if he actually caught her. ;)
And - Roxy! <3

Date: 2003-04-04 10:47 pm (UTC)^_^ I haven't seen all the episodes recently, as Jem Unlimited updates soooo sloooowly. All I remember is what I recall from when I was five. And Alyson, who is plotting Riot/Jerrica.
Though Rio's still a douchebag, ne?

Date: 2003-04-04 10:58 pm (UTC)Riot does pursue Jem, I assume because he thinks she'd make a very stylish PR beard.
The episode "Let Me Be" comes from is his lifestory, in whcih his father tries to force him to be a Real man, instead of doing unmanly things like play the piano, despite his overprotective mother's coddling. Finally, Riot's father forces him to cut off his long golden curls and join the army, to become a real man. But Riot just doesn't fit in with men's men, and is eventually dishonourably discharged, for secretly... playing rock music.
So Jem has to bring Riot and his father together, and teach Riot's father that even if Riot is wearing lacy frills and a garter on his bicep, he is still his son, and needs to be accepted and loved for who he is. Thus, "Let Me Be."
You have no idea how outrageous this episode is. The "Riot is very very gay" subtext is pretty much text.
Forgive me for babbling in your journal. :)
