TV/Internets Nooz
May. 7th, 2007 09:38 amSometimes I think that every company's online/digital department would be 10 times more efficient if they just hired 14-year-olds.
- Entrants to the Hearst Digital Media's CosmoGIRL! contest figured out a way to enter votes for the user generated video contest multiple times a day, breaking the one vote per-day rule stipulated on the site. Savvy users removed "cookies," making each new vote appear to be from a fresh user. Hearst Digital is working on a new tamper-proof system to remedy the problem. The winner of the $10,000 CosmoGIRL prize will be determined by a trio of judges this time around, to be announced in the August issue of Cosmo.
- ABC has picked up drama series LOST for 48 more episodes, or three seasons of 16 eps each. At the end of those 48 episodes, the show will come to a planned and scheduled end during the 2009-2010 season, per Variety.
- Oxygen has renewed the original reality series Tori & Dean: Inn Love for a second season. The 10-episode series will debut in third quarter this year and will focus on the pair juggling a new baby, two careers and a successful B&B business.
Posting this mostly because "OMG his email's "Billy Wonka". Hee.
- Casting Call: Granada TV, the producers of Hell's Kitchen and Nanny 911, is casting for a new judge television show about neighbors involved in disputes both big and small. The first round of auditions will happen in the New York/New Jersey area. Your neighbor problem can be about property issues, barking dogs and other noise complaints, messy neighbors and much more. A professional judge/mediator will help settle the arguments for home owners or apartment dwellers. Please email your name, contact numbers, and details of the problem, how long you've lived at your residence, as well as how long the problem has existed. The producers will contact your neighbors and explain the show concept as both feuding neighbors need to participate. Send the email to: Billywonka [at] aol.com and please write "Neighbor Conflicts" in the subject line. The producers will also hire transportation for the audition in New York City.
