I don't hate it, but I don't adore it. So I guess underwhelmed is probably right. The British adult cover is pretty cool, but the lack of two-tick quote marks would drive me batshit.
As mentioned above, I liked the "We don't have a cover yet!" placeholder much better. The style of the books used to be sort of cutesy kids books, and then in OotP they went all monochrome and it was appropriately teenaged. This is like a step backwards.
I totally have 90 things I need to do at work and I'm analyzing HP covers. Shoot me.
RIGHT? The thing I linked to has the little magnifying glass, and I totally spent time trying to find neat hidden things in the picture. Like, "That can't possibly be IT."
