- Midway Games is developing a multi-genre interactive game based on Adult Swim's Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The game will mix action/adventure, golf, combat, and cart racing, scheduled for release on Sony's PlayStaton2 platform this fall. Oh yes--Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad are starring in a movie too. Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film For Theaters opens April 13. It will be interesting to see how the promotional mishap in Boston affects box office results.
I've already read a review that says the movie is positive shit. I have utter and complete faith that the game will suck. Another article I saw on this today calls the game "Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am".
This sounds kind of cute:
Looking for some wholesome fun? Check out www.twopeasinyourpod.com. Described as a "veggie telenovela," the site is the home for a wacky, soapy sitcom starring, you guessed it, a cast of people in vegetable costumes. The production values are actually pretty high, the costumes are great, and the cast really lets it all hang out. There's actually a show within the show, (sort of Day For Night thing), as the show revolves around two pea pods who co-host a morning show called "Two Peas in a Pod," which features real guests and scripted sketches. It is produced by AcuteTV, founded by Ann Marie Lindbloom, who also plays Lisa Schnitz in the podcast.
- VIZ Media will release the anime feature film, Naruto The Movie: Ninja Clash In The Land Of Snow, in North American for one night only. The movie will play in select theatres via National CineMedia's Fathom in major markets including NY, LA, Boston, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Atlanta among others, on June 6, 2007. The movie is based on Naruto the anime TV series, which in turn is based on the manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. Naruto currently airs evenings on Cartoon Network, to be exact an edited version of the series. The movie, according to VIZ, is rated T for teens. Ticketing information will be available at www.fathomevents.com
- TOMY US has been named the master toy licensee for Nintendo's Animal Crossing in the US. TOMY plans include products based on the Animal Crossing: Wild World game such as collectible figures, houses, plush toys, which will begin rolling out this July 2007.
