The news said it was gonna be 67 degrees today, and I said, "Fuck, I'm not wearing jeans in this weather!" But my legs aren't quite shaved, so I opted for a long skirt and cool pantyhose, which means I can't wear sneakers, so I'm in very sexy but very painful pointy-toed heels. I even wore makeup. I'm a real girl!

jaina picked up Kingdom Hearts II last night, and we played for a bit, interrupted by VMars. So far it's not drawing me in as much as the first one did. The opening games and tasks on Destiny Island felt like a puzzle and got you prepared for the rest of the game. The stuff in Twilight Town is more along the lines of "Do irritating things to get used to the controls." Also? No VO credits in the book. WTF. And David Boreanaz? What the shit are you doing that's so important that you can't stop in at a recording studio to play Leon again? Huh? Don't even tell me Bones, you were still playing Angel when the first game came out.

And yet, hee Stitch and Mulan are coming up at some point and I have faith that they won't let me down.

Have faith--don't forget, there was plenty of "learn the controls" bullshit in the first one too, just not on Destiny Islands. (Well...I was a little bored there.) I have faith, considering we haven't even gotten the main character yet. You can always make me do the boring bits!

I heard the controls were even more simplified, to the extent that you more or less mash x for around 20 hours or so and then the game is over. For some voice acting creds, check IMDB, it's not just for breakfast anymore. I watched the gamespot live Q&A and they said they probably didn't get Johnny Depp, but whoever they got he's close enough that it's not noticeable. And they did get a lot of other original cast members from Disney things. The Square characters are all supposed to be poorly interjected. So it's cool that you can fight with Auron, but the story doesn't actually place him very well. I mean, the story is pretty much "here's an excuse to have a cross-universe RPG," but at least the Disney characters have worlds. If you could got to Midger or Garden or something the Square characters would seem more in-place.
