Mmm, unhealthy things
Mar. 13th, 2006 11:18 amWeekend was wonderful and schmoopy and full of Chicken Noodle Soup and cookies (an obvious choice to make you better when sick. Duh). Best weekend in a long while.
Started reading Stitch N Bitch Nation, and it's the best knitting book I've seen thus far, and that's counting every book I've picked up/purchased in any actual fabric/craft store. Also, it has way cooler patterns than the other books. I want to do illusion knitting! Of, like, a black cat on a scarf or something. After I do the other 15 million things I want to do and look neat and get distracted by. Did I mention I have a knitting project and a crosstitch project going at once? I think the only reason I was never diagnosed as ADD is because I did well in school.
Come to think of it, I did finish my purse for the Knitting Olympics. I need to take pictures and post so that all may gaze upon my handiwork with glory and awe. Though I need to attach the strap a little more secure on one side. But it's done! It is a purse! It holds things (admittedly perhaps only very light things that are not pointy and would not sneak through the sides and/or bottom)!
Just had a Luna Bar in a new flavor - Caramel Nut Brownie. It certainly quelled my desire to have Thin Mints. Now, the Nutritional Label says it's still 3 points, and full of fiber and such, but seriously - at what point does this stuff stop being healthy and turn into a glorified candy bar? It's chocolate, people. Chocolate with a slab of chocolate on the bottom, and some chocolate chips and caramel on top.
Everybody in the office is in beautiful Miami, and it certainly makes one not want to work when no one's here. Ah well. Things to be done.
