40cakes | Happy New Year

I've had Happy New Year (Yes, parts A AND B) from Rent running through my head for the past 3 days or so. I was tempted to make a phone post singing it in its entirety to get it out of my head and into yours. I did not. I was too busy singing karaoke (I stuck to hip hop, mainly.)

New Years was spent at home, since no parties presented themselves (until approximately 9pm on Dec. 31, that is. Where were these muhfuggas when I kept shouting "HEY! WHO'S DOIN' STUFF FOR NEW YEAR'S?" The wine flowed freely (as did Snapple for the sober), and we played WarioWare, then Power Stone 2 and Chu Chu Rocket on Dreamcast. The ball was dropped, (and Scott had Animal Crossing DS fireworks), and we cheered and shouted and said, "Let's do karaoke!" Fun evening, and no one threw up to my knowledge. (

2006 was greeted happily. I started the year off amongst friends, and woke up in the morning next to love. This year is gonna be totally awesome, I just know it.
