I love looking at people's icons, but I don't always *get* them - I often wonder stuff like, "Who's that guy?" or "Where's that quote from?" but I tend not to ask, for various reasons. So come on, here are my icons. Pick one (or more!) you're curious about, and I'll try to explain it. Or at least explain what I like about it.

Hee. I think I did a call for icons earlier in the year, and Kirk made that one for me. It's from Perry Bible Fellowship. It's silly and evil and I love it. I need to make more posts about puppies so I can use it more. Or maybe more posts about Hell.

So in fanfiction terms, a lemon is porn. That's the pun.

The picture itself is from the end of the Utena movie. The one with the pink hair turned into a car, and the one with the purple hair was driving her (LOTS of symbolism in this movie). They just defeated the bad guy, upon which pinky turned back from a car into a girl, and for whatever reason, they're now both naked. So they ride out into this brave new world, completely nude, arms wrapped around each other, and kissing, while balancing on the remains of a car, which now amounts to two wheels and a couple steel rods connecting them.

So, it's a shitty little car, or a lemon. And as a lemon is also porn...ba dum ching.

But I must ask about the John Stewart icon - is that straight from his appearance on Crossfire? He's dressed the same and it has the same kick you in the eye red background.

It's from a group I think called bytheleft, and it's a bunch of liberal-minded icons. It's also the place I got the Lewis Black ???? icon and the one with Bush and the guitar (He couldn't find a fiddle). I believe it's from the Crossfire appearance, as he's not in his usual TDS suit and yes, the kick you in the eye red background is there. I have that episode saved in a video file somewhere, I can check :)

:D So I had the picture of the cat from when I used to frequent stileproject.com, and I wanted to make an icon with him, but I couldn't figure out what. Then I looked at it again, and instead of making a barfy face, he looked like he was licking something that wasn't there. I checked my photo files to see what I could superimpose in for him, and Mr. Banana just fit so well. The caption "Don't ask" just seemed to work well for such an image.
