I've got this real-life update from two weeks ago that's private-locked, because I'd go back to it and add more to it when I got a moment, but it's not finished yet. At this point, it seems silly to try and post it.

Thursday night we had our company Christmas party, where I oddly enough did not get as plotzed as I did at the department lunch where I had to COME BACK TO WORK AFTERWARDS. I blame this on Tequila. I love it, but it does not love me back. Woe. I had 2 1/2 margaritas and a tequila shot at lunch, but had 5 drinks at the big party and got home feeling just fine.

Company party was alright. We had it at a new place this year, where there was no room for DDR. WOE! Jumped into the photo booth a bunch, and learned how to play pool from a pool shark (who at first was very helpful, but at the end of the night was just irritating, as he felt the need to give tips on EVERY LITTLE MISTAKE and chide me for them. Ass.) prettykate has some of the booth pics here, and zuppy28 has some here, and they each have appropriate icons. I have not made appropriate icons for myself yet. Nor have I uploaded my booth pics. Am lazy monkey.

Played a bunch of Maple Story (why aren't more of you playing that??), watched The Robbie Williams Show from Netflix, and fell asleep to Land of the Dead (I didn't mean to! It was late! We had turned out the lights! It had John Leguizamo!). Am still slowly waking up at work.

jaina and I went to the Bust Craftacular fair on Saturday. It had some neat stuff, but a lot of it was really overpriced. Mostly, got a lot of neat ideas from it, and that's what counts. Well, I also picked up a key fob, a catnip toy for the kitties, a pretty little pink heart charm, and an embroidery kit. Money well-spent. Afterwards, we got dinner at Pad Thai in Chelsea, which has the BEST SERVICE EVER. I forever now want to go only to restaurants that bring me complimentary delicious things I did not order.

And now, back to work.

If you only want to go to places like that we might just have to only eat at Pad Thai. I am okay with that.

I played Maple Story but those fuckers would not let me on Scania! How do you add buddies? Will you team with me sometime this week? I don't have enough stats to be a warrior yet but I'm already in Perion. Bugger all.

If you jumped the gun and shipped to Perion, then message me next time I'm on. I'll give you a scroll for Henesys, which has lots of places for beginners to level, and one to send you back to Perion.

Be sure to read an FAQ or two about the character class you want to be. Seeing as the game's in beta .13 they're not forgiving when it comes to mis-allocated stats. Putting points into stats or skills not appropriate for you character build entirely wastes them. I suggest:

My Scania character is LemonLass, and on Bera or whatever it is I'm OrangeJulia and PlumPie. I LIKE FRUIT! I have a pretty good faq I've been going by but I didn't read the specific stats for warrior in time. D'oh. If I level up twice more I should be fine, assuming I can ever log into Scania again.

If your warrior is still a newbie, you might as well kill it and start over. I think you can use the name again after you kill it. Warriors level faster than any other newbie-aspiring-to class because they allow you to but points into strength.

It's good to think of what second class you want too, since the lancer and page classes have different prospective stats than the basic swordy class. Lances are pretty fun too, you can see what all the weapons look like on the hidden-street site.

I'm a bit established on the Scania server, and it's newer than the other two meaning there's less high-levels. If you play that one I can give you stuff and we can play together. Splitting time between servers will make it take forever to get to the more interesting abilities and places.

Seriously, John Leguizamo. He was friggin' Luigi, I can't take him seriously. AND Dennis Hopper was in it! If they got Bob Hoskins, it'd be a Mario Brothers movie reunion!
