I am looking for fun, free things to do.

Tickets to the Daily Show and The Colbert Report are free, and are shot on weekdays in NYC.

The Colbert Report accepts ticket requests for up to four people per request. The Daily Show isn't taking requests again until January, but last minute tickets can maybe be gotten for the next week if you call on a Friday morning.

Anybody up for it? (Or, have other fun free ideas for NYC/North Jersey area?)

Yeah, well I go there cuz I LIVE THERE and it costs me $4 to park to get into NYC.

Though Ikea is a marvelous idea for a free thing to do. Let's go jump on furniture and mispronounce Swedish things!

When I first read your comment, I thought you were talking about the booze and not the band. Like you drive up to North Jersey to get drunk and hang out in Ikea. Which sounds fun in it's self.

Hey! I'm in central Jersey... as for fun and free... uh... I work at a radio station, I can sometimes get free tix for Starland Ballroom (is that in your neck of the woods?) :)

AHHHH, TOO MUCH INFORMATION AT ONCE!

1. Lineups for Colbert start at 6:45, so I'd want to get there 6-ish, so if you had a day off or what have you...

2. When/Where's the board game meetup? Not tonight? TONIGHT IS BLEACH AND HOUSE!

1. This is possible. I could come in early a few days and trade off or sommat.

2. It's Saturday at 1:30 at a Wegman's in Woodbridge I think. I get the impression it's a pretty regular thing. I have no Saturday plans, so I'm definitely giving it a try.

3. Weekend of the 18th most likely, for Kiri's birthday. Hee, do you even remember her? I'm not sure what the plans are but she mentioned karaoke AFTER a bar visit, which to me is excellent planning.

1. Well, we just kinda request tickets and they give them to us for whatever date they want. But as per when I saw TDS, it's well in advance, so it wouldn't be like, "We have tickets! FOR TOMORROW!"

You can also get tickets for Conan O'Brian for free, but they tape Mon-Thurs at 4 so you'd have to take off.

Though really, I can swing us UCBT tickets any time you want. Cuz I'm your suger-daddy like that.
