Lost in New Jersey

So after some emails back and forth with pyrobovaphiliac, I realized there are a whole bunch of towns in NJ that I only have a gist of their locations.

ROAD TRIP!

Hopped in the car to do one of my favourite activites - drive around until I'm lost, and then try to find my way home! I got to see lovely Echo Lake and the Wachtung Reservation (twice each, but that's the glory of being lost). I may have to go to the Reservation again, as I saw a sign that said "Deserted Village" and that just sounds like a neat place to visit, ne?

Tonight I'm going to some sort of blackout party in NY, and hoping I don't get lost on the way back from that. Tomorrow going hiking on Bear Mountain. Must remember comfortable shoes and camera.

Oh, and GIP.

You weren't that far from North Plainfield. The Reservation is about a twenty minute ride down 22 for me. Still road trips rule. :D

Plainfield was one of the names of one of the places I passed through! And a couple signs said "The Plainfields" with a directional arrow. I assume they're like the Oranges and the Brunswicks in that you can't get lost in just one?

Heh, if I were still up in NJ at this point, you would've been right in my back yard. Watchung is one street over from where my parents' house is. The reservation is like... 3 miles from me.

I feel touched! In the "I'm a 15 year old boy and a 19 year old friend's sister I have a crush on kissed me on the cheek" way, not in a "I'm a 15 year old boy and (you know where this is going...)" way.

I went to boy scout camp at the Watchung Reservation, I'm Reservation-ed out. That one anyway.

What county/counties are they in?

Uhhhhh....I'll take a guess and say Union? I'm in that county EVERY DAMN DAY, too, and I just totally blanked on its name. Lack of sleep. They're in the same county as Rahway and Summit ^_^;
