Have you seen Hertzfeldt's "Meaning of Life"? He did a new animation for Animation Show 2004, I went last year. It's not my favorite, but it was really good.
No I haven't! To show off my mad classiness skillz, though, I will say that I've seen the latest Pop Tart campaign, and if he wasn't involved in any way, he was completely and utterly ripped off.
"No. Don has never had anything to do with the production of a television commercial and has publicly vowed many times that he never will. Unfortunately, it seems to be "the vogue" these days for creatively bankrupt corporate types to directly rip off his artwork. This is why you may be noticing an abundance of vaguely familiar yet dreadful looking squiggly stick things on television hawking tampons or Pop Tarts. It was amusing and sad at first but now it's getting irritating."
