I haven't even seen his side of the story, but at the moment I'm inclined to side with the girl left behind after a long-term relationship so he could immediately hook up with some other chick. But did he give an interview? I don't keep up with celebrity gossip much.

The buzz is they broke up because he wanted a family and she didn't. The whiplash-fast hookup with Angelina is a little skeevy but I really get pissed that either a) she's Bad because she Didn't Want Brad's Babies or b) he's Bad because he Wanted A Family. I'm sorry, that's a major incompatibility issue, IMO, and neither of them should be blamed for that.

Yes, as compatability goes, that is a big one, and it's understandable that would break them up (though really, Jen, if you don't want kids, say so, but what career do you HAVE, exactly?). Yes, it is also skeevy to instantly rebound with another woman, unless they were both holding onto the relationship out of convenience and routine and appearances, and so he jumped at his first chance to get out of it.

He'd been talking in magazine articles about wanting kids and her reluctance for a looong time. I think it was one of those things where he'd checked out and maybe hadn't realized quite so much and maybe she hadn't realized she was still holding on? (What career, hee.) Plus I think Angelina is hot, which may be blinding me justalittle.

Actually her best movie was "Gia" on HBO. The reasons are quite obvious...

As to Brad, well, this is just further proof that no man should ever be allowed to have ANY AND EVERY woman he could ever want. The male brain can not sustain logic or any other beneficial thought process when confronted with even the inkling that he could be allowed to choose between two such goddesses. The reptilian cortex takes over and we revert to animals. Or have a seizure. Not that I would know personally, of course. To paraphrase a classic joke, I couldn't get that lucky walking through a women's prison with a pocket bulging with paroles...
