The thing that positively stuns me about the "Patriot Act" is the implied blatant inability of people to learn from the past. Hello?, didn't we already do this?? Didn't we do the same thing for the same reasons and it turned out to be a horrid mistake for all the reasons that this one will too. We even called it the "Patriot Act", if memory serves.
