So my contract with Cingular runs out in April, and I've had enough problems with them that I don't want to renew. Who has good deals on phones and calling plans? I honestly don't use the phone that much, but we don't have a land line in my apartment so I need SOMETHING. A friend told me pay-as-you-go doesn't provide the same coverage as paying a monthly plan. Thoughts? Help?

Most people I know who've had Verizon are happy with it. I get good coverage in the NY/NJ area, and I have the America's Choice 400 plan with In-Network. My dad's had every plan under the sun, and he's been happiest with Verizon, also.

I second that. I have Verizon, and my biggest beef with them is that their bills seem to be written in some form of Ancient Vulcan. >_< However, I can't beat the fact that I talk to my mom at least 15 hours a week and DON'T PAY A CENT. XD

And oh yes, the coverage area = <3. It's the only carrier I can get when I'm in Elko, Nevada.

... What?

I was also madly in love with T-Mobile, though. I was with them for three years, and seriously, the only reason I switched was for the IN calling with Verizon.

But how much does it cost? I can't afford to pay $40/month for something I essentially use as a birth control alarm that makes phone calls.
