Another letter to a non-entity.
Oct. 1st, 2004 03:02 pmDear Commute,
I realize you may be a bit upset that I'm breaking free of the 5-month deathgrip you have had on me, but that doesn't mean you have to be a bitch about it. Coming home at 9pm every night is bad enough without this sick Forces of Nature parody you've been playing.
Monday night = Fire in Penn Station. No trains in or out. Got home at 9:45 pm.
Tuesday night = Hurricane weather. Train is delayed and I drive extra slow in the torrential downpour. Got home at 9:45 pm.
Wednesday night = Inexplicable traffic on 295. Take 130 home, detour takes an extra hour. Got home at 9:45 pm.
Thursday night = Broken train tracks. One track in and out of NY. AND inexplicable traffic on 295 again, and take detour again. Got home at 10:15 pm.
Look, motherfucker. Tonight I'll be late of my own free will, so you best not pull any shit with me or I'll tear you up like a Kleenex at a snot factory, capice?
