Teh intarvue
Sep. 28th, 2004 10:47 amThey're making their decision next Friday, the 8th. As of right now, I'm less worried about if I have the job or not and more proud of myself that I went in there and was confident and didn't sweat bullets.
I've been prepped for this since late last week. F was running practice interviews with me, and making me run around to everyone I knew in some sort of management position to get questions from them. My dad ran through questions with me, I called my last boss and had her ask me questions. I went to monster.com and collegegrad.com and printed out frequently asked questions. I went into the interview prepared for a CIA interrogation.
And it was the most relaxed interview I've ever been in. S and L were very laid back, and it was less of a question and answer session than "Okay, here's what we're looking for. This is what we want. Talk talk talk. Okay, your turn!" So I told them what I had already done that related to the job, and that since I've been here for five months, I've worked on projects with other departments here, and know practically everyone here.
They ended it on a shaky note, which was: "Well, we like that you already work here and know people, but we have seen a lot of good people. We'll make our decision next Friday." Argh.
But good for me! And I kept my hands in my lap and everything and didn't twiddle my thumbs. Yay.

(And OMG look at my icon I made myself! I'm such a rockin' graphics person.)
