Today on the subway, there were these three girls standing near me. I heard one of them say, "I can't wait to get back and read about that on livejournal!" And I was all, "Hee, other dorks." I mean, they didn't look like city folk! They were out on a day trip to the city, and were talking about going home and reading each other's livejournals! AWESOME!

Dear Starbucks:

I have fallen in love with the Vanilla Bean Blended Créme Frappuccino. When I've had a bad day and need comfort, or I've had a good day and need rewarding, it's the perfect end-of-the-work day treat. And there's no place I like getting it better than the store I've referred to as "The Best Starbucks in the World." Until today.

Today, what was normally a smooth, delicious beverage with a sweet wonderful flavour was milk on ice. The barista barely blended the drink. There were visible chunks of ice in my drink, and some were large enough to get stuck in the straw. I would like to ask that this poseur barista never be allowed near my precious frappuccinos ever again, and that the lovely red-headed gay gentleman always make them for me, as he not only rocks as a person, but is a bitchin' barista also.

Theenks,

Oh man, I would love ice cream at the end of the day, too. But ice cream seems like I'm more likely to spill it all over myself/other people than a frappuccino. Also, I pretend it's healthier. :)

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but why do you give your money to Starbucks? Do you shop at WalMart also? Please forgive me if this offends your sensibilities, but can't you either A) Brew your own delicious coffee at home, saving the $5 overcharge, or B) Give your money to a nice local coffee house that isn't part of some faceless collective?

Yup. And after I'm all hopped up on caffeine and discounts, my friends and I get together and club seals. Baby seals. With cancer.
