Jun. 27th, 2007 09:15 am- Oxygen's SheDidWhat.tv launched its first online talent competition seeking the best idea for a comedy targeting women aged 18-39. Comedian Molly Shannon will judge the best 3-5 minute video and two-page treatment submitted through August 31.
- G4's animated Code Monkeys show will premiere on male-oriented video sharing site Break.com on June 27, two weeks prior to its on air debut July 11 at 9 pm ET.
- Turner's Adult Swim takes another lap, as the late-night programming block, which runs on Cartoon Network overnight, expands to seven nights a week with the addition of Fridays. The Adult Swim weekly schedule will now go like this: Monday-Saturday, 11p-6a and Sundays 10p-6a. Launched in September 2001 with three hours of programming two nights a week, by January 2003 Adult Swim had stretched to five nights a week (Sunday-Thursday) and two years later in March 2005 moved to an overnight scheduled 11p-6a.
I give it another two years tops before they turn into their own network.
