Feel like I haven't had one in a while! Here's one for the comic geeks, and for Kirk, who just was reading a few of these GN's recently:

HBO is developing a new series called Preacher, a one hour drama based on the comics series from Vertigo. Per Hollywood Reporter, The Preacher has been possessed by a combination of angel/demon, and as such has enormous powers, and with two companions is traveling the States in search of God, who the Preacher believes has neglected his heavenly duties.

I also haven't posted a NaSweKniMo number in a while. Hopefully I at least broke 10K. Maybe.

Games I Make Up In My Head

After seeing this Flickr picture from a friend and spent a good minute trying to find the "note," I thought Flickr hide-n-seek with notes would be a fun game. Not that I know the rules or how it would be played or anything. I just come up with these early steps all by myself.

I was reminded by cheekybaby in an earlier post, I got into the discussion that happens now and again with my mother, where she tries to get me more jewelery. And then puts the responsibility on other people.

Mom: "Doesn't your boyfriend ever buy you any jewelery?"
Casey: "No. I don't want any. I like movies and music and video games and toys instead."
M: "Really? You don't want ANY jewelery?"
C: "I get a pair of earrings and wear them nonstop until I'm reminded of another pair of earrings, and wear them nonstop until I find another pair, etc. I don't wear rings to work because sometimes I have to work with my hands, and I don't want rings getting messed up. I just forget to wear everything else. I have a handful of nice jewelery for fancy occasions, and that's enough."
M: "He should get you pretty things, though."
C: "Okay, but they're very expensive pretty things! Those cheap ugly diamonds we saw on sale today are a hundred dollars! A hundred dollars is at least two video games! Guitar Hero! It's a season of Doctor Who and then one of Danger Mouse! It's a hundred songs on iTunes! It's a remote control car and some fireworks! Those entertain me! Jewelery does not!"
M: "He should still buy you jewelery."
C: "I'M LEAVING WHEN WE GET BACK HOME!"
