(no subject)

10 Years Ago I was: A freshman in high school, a fresh arrival to the state of New Jersey, miserable and shy. I also had dark brown roots against light blonde hair, big glasses, braces, and was growing out a bad perm. Who knew I'd grow up to be such a hottie? (Also, holy fuck, I've been in NJ for ten years? Huh.)

5 Years Ago I was: Probably preparing for some sort of wild college Halloween shindig. Or just trying to avoid Athena. I spent a lot of time doing that.

1 Year Ago I was: Telling myself if I didn't get promoted by April, I was gonna quit and that was that. Also, I had just moved into my apartment in North Jersey, thus getting out from my parents' place.

5 snacks I enjoy: Chocolate Chip cookies; Smidgens; ice cream that contains the words "Chocolate," "Fudge," and/or "Chunk" in the title; chips and salsa; white cheddar popcorn

5 places I would run away to: Hawaii, Ireland, Japan, Disney World, Continental Europe

5 things I would do with 100 million dollars: Pay off my car, pay off my credit cards, pay off my student loans, pay off my parents' debts, and with the $.50 left over buy myself two packs of gum.

5 bad habits: procrastination, LiveJournal, biting my nails instead of properly grooming them, spending money, daydreaming

Weekend Update

The new Zorro movie is what you'd expect. No cinematic masterpiece, no tear-jerking scenes, but lots of swordfighting and wacky horse jokes. The bad guys are obviously bad, the good guys obviously good. If you are at any point surprised, welcome to your first movie XD

Friday night we stayed in since Thursday was an NYC adventure. jaina and I set up a Netflix account finally and added heaping piles of anime to the queue. Also, Firefly.

Saturday was a day of laziness, full of:
C: I need to go to the mall.
K: We should do that.
C: Mm.
K: Mm.
C: Cartoons!
K: eBay!
C: Comics!
K: Pirating Video Games!
C: How is it 6:30p already?

Then there was a trip to Van Gogh's to play a complicated board game about settlers. I got sheep. Also, it was thus established that eyepoky and I are archnemeses. Then he lent me an iPod backup and the Serenity comics, and thus established himself as a pretty friendly archnemesis. If only they were all this easy.

Sunday featured a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure's Fright Fest with jaina and her beau (hereinafter "boo" due to Halloween events). They rode giant rollercoasters while Kirk and I played the "We'll hold your stuff and wait for you!" game. Then I almost barfed on the teacups. Fuckin' teacups. We saw tigers, and I believe the tiger show should consist of 200% more kitties and 100% less homoerotic dancing of men in tiger outfits and girls in Indian dress with silly wigs. Fright Fest itself was a bit of a bust - nothing opened until 7pm, so everyone showed up late and got immediately in line. Bah.

Then we went home and I got a foot rub and tucked into bed for I was a tired ember. Then I didn't want to get up for work this morning. BOOOOOOOOOOOO.
