40cakes: (My Wacky Fürher!)

Haven't said anything worthwhile in a while. Well, let's set this fucker off, then.

Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] shortee409 knows how to work the subway, so we actually did more than wander around Times Square and Broadway! Whoot! A crazy guy talked to me on the subway and said some pretty smart shit. Too bad he was crazy. We visited [livejournal.com profile] prettykate at her work, and that totally ruled. I wish I could work there someday. Everyone was really relaxed, and even ms. pretty herself got to wear jeans. And she had Hello Kitty stuff in her cubicle :3

After that we shopped around the Village and got to the Lower East Side just before closing time. Fun exchanges of the day:

(In Sanrio)
[livejournal.com profile] purplelinz: Why is there Snoopy stuff in the Hello Kitty store? Is Snoopy married to Hello Kitty?
[livejournal.com profile] fadingembers: No. Hello Kitty is married to Darling Daniel. Gah.
[livejournal.com profile] purplelinz: ... How do you know that?
[livejournal.com profile] fadingembers ...I don't know...

(In Lower East Side)
[livejournal.com profile] crisischick81: Movies have taught me that there's a Jewish community down here somewhere.
[livejournal.com profile] fadingembers: I think I see it! There's a place that does taxes right next door to a place that sells falafel! You're home!
[livejournal.com profile] crisischick81: Fuck you, gentile.

Visited [livejournal.com profile] berkobtch at her flat. Was much fun and her boyfriend is much cool and makes great drinks. (Does he have a brother that doesn't mind an "open relationship"? But just on my end.) Watched Monk and Care Bears and had Daquiris. We wandered around Philly a bit that night, passing off South Street until the next day, as Friday night on South Street is apparently filled with questionable peoples (and not the type of questionable peoples we likes, neither). On Saturday, we stopped by the anime store, which was rather disappointing, considering I've been waiting to go inside this anime store for about a year. We ate at a nifty restaurant called "Tattooed Mom", and there I picked up a postcard advertising an art show. I think I'll be attending. I made an icon of the postcard, which is the icon used here. Saw Flesh Wounds, which rocked (and I still want a copy of it, plus the "Sean and Phil's Quick and Dirty Guide to Film Genre" short). The after-party rocked even more, what with an open bar and free hor d'ourves. [livejournal.com profile] crisischick81 and I drank freely. [livejournal.com profile] purplelinz couldn't cuz she had to drive. Neener.

Afterwards, we crashed at [livejournal.com profile] cybergypsy's. Then we stayed up and talked about sex. I don't remember a word that was said. Well, more like I remember basic words, but not how they flowed together into coherent sentences.

Will be at Otakon next weekend. It will rule.

Will we talk about sex then, too? *snickers, knowing that it is a foregone conclusion*
