You'd think if they could make a robotic trash compactor look cute, Disney would be able to do the same with a simple firefly. But, Jesus, was I wrong. I want to pretend I never saw that trailer.

There's been a couple articles on Disney having so much trouble with their first black princess. The firefly is supposed to be like the fairy godmother to this girl, and instead of a grandmotherly old lady or a fancy little cricket or any assortment of adorable woodland critters that have existed over the years, she gets a toothless firefly that talks like Uncle Remus? REALLY DISNEY?

Other than that, yeah, her with the frog is pretty spot on. Though one person in the comments at jezebel.com was curious about the plot, which I have to agree on, since the Frog Prince really isn't the most entertaining story out there, especially for 90 minutes.
