- BBC America has added one renewal, one revival and one new comedy series to its lineup:
The Graham Norton Show - third season of the talk show debuts April 26 at 10p. A So Television Production for BBC distributed by So Television Ltd.
Monty Python's Flying Circus - the ten-hour marathon premieres May 26 at 9a; the classic series with digitally remastered episodes spanning four seasons featuring the antics of Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam and John Cleese
[and Graham Chapman. Wankers.] A Python Pictures Ltd. Production distributed by BBC Worldwide.
Not Going Out - starts May 2 at 920p; half-hour series about a British guy who is roommates with an American girl and falls in love with her. An Avalon Production distributed by BBC Worldwide.

- At its upfront presentation last night in NYC, the SCI FI Channel unveiled plans for several projects in development. The scripted projects include:
  • True Believer - two-hour backdoor pilot; dramedy about a 20-something avid comic book reader who hires a has-been superhero to be his partner and together they try to save the world.
  • The Stranded - two-hour pilot; based on the comic book co-created by SCI FI and Virgin Comics. The story is about five ordinary people who realize their life, family and memories are a lie and that they are from another planet.
  • Deputized - two-hour pilot; a dramedy about an average guy who suddenly has special powers and becomes part of the inter-galactic police force.
  • Alice - six-hour miniseries; a new version of the Alice in Wonderland story from the team that created Tin Man.
  • SCI FI also ordered production for a two-hour pilot called Caprica, the prequel to the network's Battlestar Galactica series which will begin its fourth and final season on April 4, 2008. Produced by Universal Media Studios, production on Caprica will start this spring.


- FOX ordered a comedy pilot The Inn starring Niecy Nash of Reno 911. Set in a chic New York hotel, The Inn is written by Abraham Higginbotham and will be produced by 20th Century Fox TV, Reveille and Principato-Young.


I include this because the writer's name is Abraham Higginbotham. HA!

- Nicktoons Network teams with Marvel Entertainment for two new superhero animated series, Iron Man: The Animated Series (26x30) and Wolverine and the X-Men (26x30), both of which will debut exclusively on Nicktoons Network in 1Q 2009. Iron Man: The Animated Series is a co-production with French based Method Films and Wolverine and the X-Men is a co-production with Toonz Entertainment Pte Ltd., Singapore and First Serve International Ltd. Feature films staring these same characters are slated for release this year and next, Iron Man on May 2, 2008 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine on May 1, 2009.
