Been a Long Time Nooz
Dec. 20th, 2007 09:35 amTurner signed a deal with Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder to produce a 20-webisode original series to debut on comedy portal SuperDeluxe.com. The series, dubbed The Super Rumble Mixshow, will premiere in January and have a little of every format thrown in, including short skits, mocumentaries, lectures and music performances.
I should really get around to checking out SuperDeluxe.com, but the fact of the matter is that I do most of my dicking around on the internet at work, and I try not to watch TOO MUCH video since a lot of people can see my monitor. I might have to check this out. Hopefully it's better than the second season of the Boondocks thus far.
Anime Network launched an ad supported broadband network featuring a rotating line up of full-length episodes. Theanimenetwork.com will present series such as Saiyuki and Kurau Phantom Memory in their entirety over a period of months and debut "first look" titles such as Gainax's Gurren Lagann before they are released on DVD in the U.S.
Series in their ENTIRETY? REALLY? Vin and I were talking about this two weekends ago, because Anime Network on demand would often air 24 episodes of a 26-episode series, then start at episode 1 again, leaving you completely hanging. Or they'd have the same episodes of something up for months, then cycle through episodes within weeks, so you'd check back and find you've missed something. They really oughta get their shit together. We're nerds, guys, we're supposed to be organized. Or at least anal retentive.
SAVE THE DATE ALERT!!! An eight episode order has been given by CMT for a new unscripted series called My Big Redneck Wedding, from Pink Sneakers Entertainment, reports THR. Each episode features a different "down-home" wedding, each with its own unique qualities. The series is set to launch on January 11 at 930p, with Tom Arnold hosting.
prettykate,
spuffylover24, I know you're both going to be taking notes from this series.
