This weekend, the Jacob Javits center is not only home to the NY Anime Festival, but also the Magic: The Gathering world championship. AN ARMY OF NERDS LIKE THE WORLD HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE OR WILL AGAIN.
You don't see them as much, because someone got the idea that you could make a collectible card game online, hence eliminating the need to actually have cards but still make money. Then half the players thought this was a good idea. The upside is that the "cards" won't be damaged. The downside is that they figured out a way to make magic nerds even more anti-social.
