i just laughed soda out my nose. not a joke.

yes, jewish weddings are tough to follow. hebrew's a blast. (that was sarcasm, especially since i've learned some and just DON'T get it.)

I've been to one before, and had a blast. This one, however, was Orthodox, and the Rabbi had a thick accent. So not only could I not understand 90% of the ceremony (in English OR Hebrew), my partner in crime had to sit on the other side of the gender divider so we couldn't just make up subtitles as we went along!

i'm converting orthodox.

and i totally feel your pain. i can understand hebrew, but not if the speaker has a huuuuge yiddish accent. O_o and i can't read it unless i go veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slowwwwlllly. i could tell ya wha happen in ceremony, if you want.

the actual ceremony bits are super short.

but yeah, they're rough. and the sitting separate takes getting used to.
