A summation of events.

RyokoMeino: so i caught the 8am train, and it didn't move
RyokoMeino: and they announced that there was a power outage, and we didn't know when we'd be moving
RyokoMeino: so i stayed put until 9am, when I said, "Fuck this, I'll catch the bus"
RyokoMeino: and 5 minutes after i did that, someone on the platform called, "We've got power!"
RyokoMeino: So I ran back up to the train, hoping I'd still get a seat. Get back to the train, no power. Just flashed on real quick
RyokoMeino: SO I figured I'd wait it out - if the power came on real quick, surely it'd come back on for real soon
RyokoMeino: waited another half hour, nothing.
RyokoMeino: went back to the bus
RyokoMeino: just as i'm getting on the bus, I hear "Power will be returned shortly"
RyokoMeino: i figure, "forget it, I'm taking the bus"
RyokoMeino: on the bus, I notice my phone isn't with me. I grab my purse and run real quick to where i was sitting, waiting for the bus, since people are still getting on - I have time, and I"m right in the driver's sight
RyokoMeino: just as i get back to the bus, the doors close, and it starts moving forward. with my yarn bag on it.

RyokoMeino: I start running alongside it and pounding on the doors, and luckily the guy lets me in. don't know if he recognized me or what
RyokoMeino: i did get my phone. luckily i didn't also leave my purse or ida been in real trouble
RyokoMeino: ...if they had left me
RyokoMeino: So the bus takes forever. I stop crocheting because I'm getting carsick
RyokoMeino: We get to Newark Penn Station and the bus randomly drops us off. No idea where to go to get into the station
RyokoMeino: Find our way in, somebody mentions, "we can't take the path trains, those are down! My daughter saw on the news!"
RyokoMeino: I'm thinking "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK"
RyokoMeino: LUckily, they were jsut stupid. Path trains are running
RyokoMeino: Hop on one of them, get into work

RyokoMeino: I got into work around 11:30
RyokoMeino: And they were nice and let me leave at 5:45 so I could catch a train home - power's back up, but they cancelled a bunch of trains
