MY EYES ARE BURNING AND SNOT IS ESCAPING
Apr. 17th, 2006 03:39 pmI think I have allergies. My nose is full of snot and my eyes are red and itchy. I think I need to get Claritin after work. Yech.
New phone is very fun, but I need to see how I can make my own ringtones. Because while Verizon and VCast may have a wonderful array of music, they don't have much Robbie Williams, or a lot of the Revolutionary Girl Utena OST for that matter. Tried downloading DJ Xpress last night, which was helpful up until the point of sending the ringtone, and at that point said, "HAY THX FOR USING US THAT'LL BE $2.99". Yay. I got the Bluetooth headset for it and wore it on the drive home Sunday, and on the ride to work this morning. That means I am officially one of THOSE assholes. It also means I have a free ride to talk to myself in public as much as I want and can just point at it and mouth "I'm on the phone" if anyone gives me evil looks. Or if my train boyfriend talks to me again.
In train boyfriend news, he saw me on Thursday, and stopped by my seat (I crocheted furiously and tried to ignore him) to tell me he hoped he hadn't upset me or made me uncomfortable by handing me his card, and that he had carried it in his pocket all week before working up the nerve to hand it to me*. I nodded and continued my granny square. I will use it to smother you, bitch!
In knitting news, I'm making my mother an afghan for mother's day. I tried to teach her how to knit, and she hasn't even tried, so I gave up and I'm making her one out of the giant pile of purple yarn I had bought to knit myself a blanket. Bah. I'm such a good kid.
In parenting news, had a perfectly quiet Easter weekend at home. I did two months' worth of laundry in one day, and still had time to do dollar-store shopping and finish up Princess Nine and start FLCL. (Review for PN and why it's a much better "rookie underdog takes sport by storm" anime than Angelic Layer will be posted one of these days. Don't hold your breath; I still haven't ever formally reviewed HPIV or Rent.) On the drive home, my throat started getting sore, and during the weekend, my nose kept getting more and more full of snot. I hope I'm not allergic to my cats and just have regular allergies. Cause I heart my widdle kittyboobears.
Got home fairly early last night, and cleaned room. There's room to walk without being on tiptoes now! HOORAY! Also finally hung my curtain rods and curtains, now that it's warm and I'll want my windows open and curtains out of the way. Started up Kaleido Star since I have the thinpak collection, but haven't yet gotten around to watching all of it. Kirk came over and we made smooches and watched TV. Visited with
jaina when she came home and saw her new shiny pretty things. Hooray!
*If this were a teen romance novel, that would be cute. When you're a 40-year-old guy hitting on a twentysomething girl and you're using the pity clause to get her to invite you to sit next to her, that's sad.
