I need a keeper
Apr. 3rd, 2006 10:10 amFriday I went to Barnes & Noble on my lunch break and picked up The Happy Hooker, and while I was there, Stitch N Bitch Nation, and then I saw Monty Python & Philosophy for Kirk, but he's letting me borrow it first (in the sense that I said "I WANNA READ IT FIRST!"). I need someone to hold my hand in bookstores and take me between what I went in there for and then immediately to the register.
Saturday tried out for VH1 and Entertainment Weekly's World Series of Pop Culture. Written test was a bit difficult for me, and only two teams of all the people in our appointment time got in. Tear. But we got burgers afterward, so all was well. Saturday night Kirk, Scott, and I went to Rutgers to hear Hummus or somebody play. I attempted to crochet. Crochet attempts were not very good.
Sunday was gorgeous, and when we finally woke up, we drove out to Westfield and walked around the park, then had gelato and smoothies. We also went to Target, and made huge dorks of ourselves by trying on glasses and taking pictures. We're both doing glasses shopping, and it's very difficult. Cries. I finally picked up chain stitch, single crochet, and half double crochet. I'm up to double crochet stitch, though it looks lop-sided. Triple is next, and then I can make pretty things, right? RIGHT?
