In which I commune with nature
Mar. 31st, 2006 01:27 pmDear God, the Universe, and Everything,
Thanks.
As I walked back to work on this beautiful spring day, I am full of thank yous for everything.
Thank you for my boyfriend, who is super and wonderful and loving and who makes me breakfast in the mornings.
Thank you for my job, which allows me to take long lunch breaks on slow days. Thanks that it's in New York City, so I can walk to anything when it's nice out, and be awestruck with people and art and fashion and nature. Thank you that they let us dress like the lunatics we all are.
Thank you for cloudless sunny days with a light breeze.
Though I bitch about my roommates, thank you that I live in an apartment with great rent, and am not with my parents.
Thank you for my insane cats.
Thank you for Jamba Juice, though admittedly, could we get one a little closer to the office? I mean, there's like three on 23rd between 5th and 7th. Something along 14th between us and Union Square would be awesome.
Thank you for flowers and bodegas.
Thank you for Starbucks Caramel Apple Ciders on cold mornings.
Thank you for livejournal, so I can keep up on the minutae of my friends' lives.
Thanks,
Casey
PS.
prettykate reminded me of one, which is: Even though I bitch about the hassle and the pain, thank you for my period because it means I've cheated pregnancy for another month!
Thanks.
