Weekend Update
Jan. 23rd, 2006 02:42 pmMan, I got the Itis. But we'll see how this goes.
Friday:
- I got up at 6 am because I am a good, productive employee who wanted to catch a 7:15 train in to work so I could get stuff done. Then NJ transit said "Amtrak has signal problems! Service is suspended!" and I caught a train at 9. Piss.
- Kirk had an interview in the city and stopped by the office all sexy and dressed up in a suit and stuff. We had gas station burgers. They were delicious. DELICIOUS! I gave him a short tour and introduced him to work friends and everyone on livejournal, of course. It was nice having lunch with him. That makes me happy. I was a grinning idiot the rest of the day. When I walked him out, he got a big kiss, because, as previously mentioned, sexy suit. Rowr.
- Kirk got into NY and back fine, so I figured the trains would be A-OK by the time I went home. Then I got to Penn Station and heard that there was an LIRR train caught in a tunnel and to expect delays. WHEEE! Figuring my luck couldn't get worse, I bought a $1 lottery scratch-off and won $5. Whoot.
- Informing me that he can't understand how I take my commute every day and don't rampage on my way home, Kirk gave me the best massage EVER. Purr. Went to bed around 11, as we are very old people.
- Oh, and the people I saw were Ken Burns, Molly Shannon, and Mario Batali. Fingers on the pulse people, geez!
Saturday:
- We said, "We don't have plans! Let's have a quiet weekend together." Then we ran to the post office, then Menlo Park so I could look for shoes and he could return unwanted presents. Cheesecake Factory line was too long, so no lunch.
- Drove down to Rutgers to gather any of his friends interested in a game of Munchkin Bites! Ended up staying until 2am, playing 3 games (only one of which ended with a proper winner, the final game ending because it was 2 damn am).
Sunday:
- Another day of "We don't really have anything to do! Let's stay home and relax!" thwarted. Got a classy brunch at Denny's, and then went to Woodbridge Mall, where I narrowly avoided a car accident (it's not my fault if I'm in the left lane, getting ready to get into the next leftmost lane to make a left turn, if a woman careens across two lanes to cut me off, right? RIGHT?) A good deal of time was spent at Woodbridge, where Kirk bought me much-needed new sneakers, since he's the Best Boyfriend Everâ„¢ and we hung around the Game Room and looked at odd games and I got him a couple sparkly D6's (he's just gonna have the purtiest Munchkin set around, dammit!).
- Came home and ordered a pizza, then ran to Walgreen's because I had a sudden urge for milk and cookies.
- Watched Martin & Orloff, then tuned into [as] for Boondocks and Moral Orel. The former was not the best and the latter was better than expected. Then Kirk made me play Silent Hill before bed, in which I rescinded any previous assertations of love and affection towards him because I am a wimp at that game and it was 1am!
