The discussion starts out by talking about Narnia. Comparisons are made to the Harry Potter movies. He says, "Which Harry Potter did you like best? Probably this latest one, right?"

"Meh...I've thought about it, and I like the third one best."

"Me too. I liked the fourth one, but I thought Harry Potter was gonna end up with the girl, but they put her with that Crumbs guy--"

"Viktor Krum."

"Yeah, him, and and Harry got with that Oriental girl."

"Cho."

"Yeah, I didn't like that. And I thought she was gonna be one of those people that turn into ogres."

"Ah. ...wait, WHAT?"

"You know, those people that turn into ogres."

"No, I'm NOT sure what you mean by 'those people that turn into ogres.'"

"Well, y'know, like those movies I like with the guy who has knives coming out of his hands."

"...X-Men?"

"Yeah, well, I thought she was one of those people."

The lure of Taco Bell ends the discussion.

Six hours later...

"WHY WOULD YOU THINK CHO CHANG WAS A MUTANT?!"

"Well, you know, there was that girl all painted blue who could turn into other people. I thought the person that tried to make him lose the tournament or whatever would be like that."

I gape and let it drop as we continue to my cousin's home.

Two people asked me when I was going to graduate college. To the first, I said, "I did. Two years ago."

To the second, I said, "I already did!"

Doody replied, "I'm not talking about school, I'm talking about college!"

"...I graduated college two years ago. I have a job in Manhattan."

"No shit?"

"Yeah."

I've been doing laundry all damn day and I'm down to only three loads! Hooray! I've been watching Buffy season 4 in between loads, and I'm onto disc 3. THAT'S HOW MUCH LAUNDRY I HAD.
