40cakes: (What the Hell)
[personal profile] 40cakes
So once upon a time, in ye olden times referred to as P.L.*, I was a regular on MediaMiner.Org, at the forums. It was a small crowd, everyone knew each other, and when I hadn't yet made college friends who were into anime, manga, and video games, it was a good place to stay up until 3 am and chat. Plus, they told me my Sailor Moon fanfiction was OMG SO TOTALLY AWESOME! and who can refute that?**

While there, there was a kid named PsyWeedle. PW is forever imprinted in my mind as a smitten 14-year-old boy who had a crush on every single girl at MM, probably because it's the internets, and everybody magically becomes a flirtatious whore on the internets. Especially in Club Miner.

Club Miner was a section of the forums created for adult conversations, as we're geeks, and threads inevitably turn towards porn and sex. Out of CM arose an adult-themed RP. The RP had a fairly good story, but slowly devolved into everyone having cybersex with each other***. As a person who was fairly happy with sex IRL, I didn't get involved.

So PW has been IMing me lately, and I finally answered him last night. He mentioned he had started up a new RP, and wanted me to check it out and maybe join. I guess my math was wrong, and he's 18 now. Whatevs.

Here are the rules, copied and pasted since you need to register to see CM (it being adult-locked and all):

1. Internal RPing may be allowed within the Circus, but it has to be in some way related to it and/or adult situations. If I see people suddenly having a shootout or something involving assassins, ghost, and goblins (other than for, you know, sex and all), I will request that those posts get deleted.

2. Customers of my Circus should be they, themselves, and them. As I am Psy, ChibiHalo would be Halo, Kouji would Kouji, and so forth. This rule is only in suspension when people want to have multiple fun partners and can't agree to something like a threesome, so they may begin another character with another personality, if they wish.

3. No means no. =^_~= You come onto someone and they're not interested... well, tough beans.

4. Strip as much as you like, that's what the poles are for... just the fun stuff (in all of its glory) does not happen on the Circus floor. =^_~= (But we all get to see it, anyway... unless you don't post it here.)

5. Um... No weapons. =^^=;;

6. And that's all I can think of. Otherwise, HAVE A BALL! I'll add more rules if necessary. =^_~=

7. Oh, and both men and women may strip here. After all, we're an equal-opportunity employer here at Psy's Stripping Circus! =^-^=

I replied to PW, "THe other RPs eventually devolved into thinly veiled cybersex boards, but this one pretty much starts out as one, minus the veil. I like my sex with a bit of story, yanno? Also, don't know anyone anymore." (Trying to let him down easy, poor little vanity-published author.) His response to me was:

PsyWeedle: Aaah. Did you want to start up a storyline involving it, then? Like it was said in the rules, as long as it doesn't detract away from the Circus, there can be internal storylines, much like what's happening between Rini and ShadowSlave: A stripping competition because it was believed that Shadow was being quite rude.

Me: ... He keeps using the word "storyline." I do not think it means what he thinks it means.

But as my horrific internet stories go, it's a lil'un. Still amusing. =)

**Everyone
***If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: If you're going online with the intention of pretending to be someone else, talking to another person whom you're sure is also pretending to be someone else, and talking about all the naughty things you're going to do to that person, THAT IS CYBERSEX.

I remember him! He used to stalk me on the boards/AIM looking for you.

(Somehow, I don't think he understood that while we lived on the same college campus, on the same side of the street even, didn't mean that I knew you exact whereabouts 24/7. That was Kim's job, yo.)

Oh, Weedle... I kept thinking of the pokemon whenever I talked to him...

*snickers*

He used to refer to me as an "evil tease." I just wasn't all that interested. pedophilic, online relationships just don't sound all that appealing to me... ^^;

...and I think my friends on [livejournal.com profile] campfuckudie deviate too much into mindless smut. Ha!

everybody magically becomes a flirtatious whore on the internets.
So, so true.

Not for nothing, but I'd imagine someone wouldn't want to cyber with someone with an insect-sounding name. I mean, my friend Angelo had a picture of a scorpion chick on his wall, but I much preferred the other anthropomorphs. Especially the cow.

everybody magically becomes a flirtatious whore on the internets.

Is this entirely true? I try as hard as I can not to be a different person online, and I've never done anything like cyber sex what-so-ever. I'm a little different I admit, but that's because on the internet I can type things I can't pronounce and IRL I can say things I can't spell. If only there was pronunciation check IRL...

P.S. I initially misspelled "pronunciation."

I think not everyone does, but a lot of people do. Flirty people become more flirty, shy people can sometimes let go.

OMG LOOK AT MY BOOBS.

See? Flirtier.

Oh come now, EVERYONE who's ANYONE loves hooking up into online relationships with Pokémon fans, didn't you know?

It IS true! Also, CFUD is nowhere NEAR how much full of sex this place got. Though I'm sure much easier to follow, as sex probably goes into convenient threads on LJ, but on this board, you had to skim back and forth to follow what was happening.

Dude, we say that in real life EVERY DAY. In fact, we both this very evening grabbed your roommate's boobs. And then she took off her bra!

I don't even remember which one was Psyweedle. Was he the duck? I have an image of a psychic duck. I think one of my college roommates may have had a plush.

The cow is totally hot. And a great tipper. I'll be here all week, folks.

Yeah, but you live a normally wild flirtatious lifestyle, young man, so of course you're not a different person online! I'm referring to the fact that when a girl posts a picture of herself online, 5000+ guys line up to inform her of her attractiveness, but if she walked by them in real life, they'd probably wet themselves before speaking to her. Same thing can happen for girls, too. Also there's the principle of "*Hey, I'll never ever have to run into this person in real life!* Yo, let's internets hookup!"

There was a "Psyduck" and a "Weedle" but no "Psyweedle." Psyduck was a popular character because he was a major plot device in the first season of the anime.

I don't live a particularly flirtatious lifestyle, only for girls who sponsor me to emerge from my little shell.

Whoa, no wonder I didn't remember! Also, you should copyright that Pokemon before Nintendo finds my LJ and steals that character because the way they're squeezing that franchise? Pure stone blood.

Is that like a membership drive? "Call now, and for just minutes a day, you too can sponsor Kirk to emerge from his shell. Also, receive this lovely tote bag and a DVD of 'Best of PBS'."

Oh hell, I want a "Best of PBS" dvd!

My friend Angelo had pictures of a hot anthropomorphic cow girl on his wall, but he directed me to an even hotter one, from a webcomic no less: Las Lindas

Yeah. And there's a no-real-sex rule which helps, because if people want to RP porn they can go back to their own journals (and sometimes do). (It's also a big help for me, because hubby and I have agreed I won't RP porn...I do a lot of fading to black, hee.)

I don't do cybersex, but I'm definitely more or a flirt. *flashes boobs*

Dude, check out the udders on her! *rimshot*

See, the words "hot anthropomorphic cow girl" don't compute. I'm a hot cowgirl, in the sense that I've lived in the south and have a cowboy hat and know how to do the Achy Breaky.

See, I have no problem with fading to black. That works. But this was sex, and it was a message board, so trying to keep up with individual stories went something like this:

Razor shut the door behind them. "I've had my eye on you a long time, Halo. I never knew you felt the same way about me."

*scroll through lots of people with similar usericons/fonts/text colors/huge sigs*

Halo grinned coyly as she pulled off her shirt. Blah blah blah foreplaycakes.

*SCROOOOLLLLLLLL... Scroll back up because you realize you missed him. Notice someone else's far more interesting story, but feel like you'll have to come back and read it after these two finish fucking and get back to their storyline.*

Oh, god, that must have killed. It's tedious enough reading it if you are interested (because it takes so long to RP out).
