So we all remember the X-Men cartoon from the early 1990's that was on FOX, right?

The Japanese picked it up, dubbed it (OMG NO DUBS!!!), and aired it there. However, it seems they weren't really pleased with the opening animation and the instrumental theme song of the original version, and decided to make their own.

I heart this. It's got a hint of "It looks like anime trying to look like American animation...", which I'm sure is something similar to how Teen Titans looks to the Japanese. Yay for downloads!

Man, I used to tape that show every saturday and watch it a millon times. I still have piles of VHS tapes with X-men episodes on them in my parents house.

good show......too bad they gave it the same fate as "chip and dale : rescue rangers" by not making any ore episodes and just playing the same ones for like 2 years until people totally stoped watching....the shame.

OMG I so loved that show. Have every ep on tape. Based my X-men fanfic off of it. *Adored* it!! I am glad our Japanese friends get to see it now. Thanks for sharing this!
