40cakesTear. Only one of my phone posts made it through. I made one of "The Call," which apparently made it through, but I made another of "Backstreet's Back" which is my favourite BSB song which is, I mean to say, the only BSB song I know not that I can identify anything by the Backstreet Boys I thought it was supposed to be Ozzfest SHIT.
The concert was much fun. Fuck all haters. There was all this positive energy and you couldn't help but get caught up in it. There were girls who I imagine weren't even old enough to listen to their own music when BSB first hit. There were moms who looked like THEY had dragged their DAUGHTERS there. There were gay couples, there were punks, there were people you didn't expect to ever even LIKE BSB, much less attend a concert for them. I had forgotten how much fun it is to just dance around and shout to music and not worry about anyone looking at you and thinking you retarded (because a Backstreet Boys concert is like public education - we're ALL retarded).

pale_jezebel and I sat together with the grownups, while her sisters and their friend had tickets closer to the stage. We were still pretty close, which isn't surprising as the show wasn't sold out or anything. (Seats were filled, but lawn section was bare.) Nick and AJ have the most fans (or at least the loudest). AJ's definitely the most talented member of the group, and I guess Nick is "the cute one"? (I don't get it, as he's a sweaty mofo with the voice of a six-year-old.) Howie doesn't get enough love. Some things never change. (Actually, many things never change, as Kim and I sang the words to "I Want a Fat Babe" when that particular song came up.)
Next up, Spice Girls reunion tour! (They WILL have dates here, I SWEAR.)
