Bleach episode 1
Jul. 25th, 2005 08:01 pmRukia: I've never seen a Death God whose Soul Slayer got that big!
Casey: Snicker. I'm 12.
[EDIT]Yeah, I guess I'll piggyback this meme in here. I got it from the clique.
10 Anime/Manga Females that you like, or at least think are tolerable. Then write something about them-your first impression, something you like, something you DON'T like, whatever.
10. Sailor Galaxia, Sailor Moon SailorStars. She. Kills. EVERYONE. Only not permanently because it's Sailor Moon after all. She actually wears armor, wields a sword, wants to take over the galaxy, and is in charge of the biggest group of badass lesbian warriors since Octopussy (...what? Like you didn't know.) Oh, and pretty blonde curly hair.
9. Ryoko, Tenchi Muyo. Ryoko is an everlasting fave. The badass space pirate bit coupled with a ship that turns into a bunnyrabbit thing. Too bad she had horrible fashion sense. Plus I always had a soft spot for Hotsuma. And her hair? She just borrowed her brother's old Sonic the Hedgehog wig (three of you got that.)
8. Fujiko, Lupin the 3rd. I forget where I read this, but an article/blog entry once said, "She's double-crossed Lupin so many times she's practically legitimate." Assume every female character with a chest is Fujiko in disguise. She's smart and cunning, knows what she wants and goes after it. By any means necessary.
7. Milly, Trigun. Oh, Thompson girl. You're so smart and you don't let anyone know it, which is the smartest thing of all to do. You're also physically and emotionally strong, wearing your heart on your sleeve for all to see. You also have a special place as the "dumb" character who doesn't get on my nerves. Bravo, little little sister. You SHOULD be the Sempai.
6. Meryl, Trigun. Oh, Meryl. I love you for the exact opposite reasons I love Milly. You're tiny and quick and booksmart, but not much else. But you're smart enough to know that you don't know shit, and you're willing to learn and pick up a thing or two in this journey. By the end of the show, you've grown so much. Though you're still short.
5. Himeno, Pretear. OMG! A magical girl who can actually fight! And wants to practice fighting so she can save her friends and family! And who achieves her final, most powerful form in what is essentially a metaphor for masturbation! Yay.
4. Juri, Utena. Oh, Juri. You didn't want to abuse anyone or fuck your sibling or gain more power. You just wanted a girlfriend, and prayed for a miracle that would bring her round your way. You kicked ass, you were never anyone's bride, and I insist that Utena never beat you. You're a fine prince, Juri-sempai. NEXT!
3. Integra, Hellsing. You deserve so much better than the anime, Sir. Let's hope the OVA treats you with your due respect.
2. Sakaki, Azumanga Daioh. I can't imagine why one of my favourite female characters is one who tries to keep a straight, stoic face in public yet gets all wooby at the sight of kittens, can you?
1. Anthy, Utena. A lot of people want to make Anthy out to be a villain or a victim, and I think the true glory of her is that she's both. She's either the mastermind witch behind it all, or a poor girl forced to her brother's subjugation. Once you've seen the ending (or once you've seen the ending fifteen times and finally understand everything), go back and watch the series, knowing what you do now about everyone's true natures. Mind-boggling, isn't it?
These were actually in no particular order, as it was hard to order these. You'll forgive me though, right?
