Weekend Update

I put on my suntan in a bottle yesterday, then went out into the sun and got burnt. So my skin is now some shade of orange-red. Burnt sienna? Burnt sienna sounds good.

I am broker than broke. Friday I got a cholesterol test (more on that later) and pills, and then got fillings for cavities at dentist. I are poor. I may have to withdraw money from savings account to cover parking until next paycheck (which, since I sadly JUST GOT PAID, is in two weeks).

Got a cholesterol test Friday, and the results were very good. This is surprising for two reasons.

1. OMG HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT I EAT? I think Chocolate Lucky Charms are a breakfast of champions.

2. The test required that I fast twelve hours before. While waiting for the little machine to process my blood, the nurse practitioner told me that even a cough drop that morning, or a piece of gum can ruin everything. The test was scheduled for 8:30am. I stopped eating dinner at 9pm. My last meal? Sweet and Sour Chicken with white rice from the local Chinese food place. That morning, I woke up late and ran out the door without brushing my teeth, so I chewed on some gum on the ride there. So shock and awe, people. You think SOMETHING would have made it look bad. Whatever.

The local Loews cuts off matinee prices at some ungodly hour. Apparently 3pm is not early enough for them and warrants a nine dollar ticket. Fine, screw you, you fucks. I can't imagine why internet piracy is so popular.

So let me get this straight. Rob was here two weeks ago, and it was sweltering. That week, it was cold. Father's Day weekend, it was cold. All this week, it was cold. Now he's here again and it's 90. Kim was right all these years! He IS a fucking ray of sunshine!

I'm very upset that I slept through last night's episode of Paranoia Agent. Anyone know if there's a quick place to dl it? I've been literally waiting weeks to catch something beyond the first dvd, and Return of the Jedi put me to sleep at 10. Rob is a saint who sat through the entire thing, as I floated in and out of consciousness.

I haven't seen the PA episode yet either, though I recorded it. I really like that show, I don't know why they moved it back, behind s-CRY-ed of all things. I guess scryed is ok, it's kinda 80s though, a little to Transformer-y.

Anyway, PA is one serious fucked up puppy, I can't wait to see how the series plays out.
