- Wizard's First Rule, the new first-run, live-action weekly series distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television has cleared in 84% of the U.S. including each of the top 50 markets...From executive producer Sam Raimi and based on Terry Goodkind's novel Wizard's First Rule and the fantasy series The Sword of Truth, the television series will be produced by ABC Studios, the studio's first broadcast syndication project, with production on the 22 episodes set to begin this May.

- Nine Inch Nail's Pay What You Can offering of the Ghosts I-IV album racked up $1.6 million in sales during the first week it was available, despite it being widely available on P2P sharing sites.

- Universal Pictures and Dark Horse Entertainment, publisher of Dark Horse Comics, and producer of movies and TV series, have inked a three-year worldwide production and distribution deal establishing a studio home for Dark Horse's properties. Under the deal, Universal has access to all Dark Horse characters and properties, as well as material acquired by Dark Horse on its own and opts to develop as a feature film. Meanwhile, Dark Horse has the option to independently produce its own material and to distribute movies through Universal. Universal Pictures will open Hellboy II: The Golden Army, directed by Guillermo del Toro and based on Mike Mignola's Dark Horse Comics character, on July 11, 2008.
