- ReBoot is coming back. Rainmaker Animation (f/k/a Mainframe Entertainment) is currently redeveloping the property, but this time round it will be a movie trilogy. The first full CGI animated TV series; produced by Mainframe, ReBoot premiered in 1994 on YTV (Canada), ABC (US) and later on Cartoon Network (US). Set in a world inside a computer infrastructure, a la the Tron (1982), Reboot ran for four seasons and had a significant fan base of both kids and adults, and quite possibly the best ever animated hair! Rainmaker is looking let ReBoot fans in on the development of the project to help refine pitches for the movies. Here's how it'll work. Under Rainmaker's newly-inked deal with comic-fan centric social network Zeros 2 Heroes, beginning this Thursday July 26, fans can look at five different pitches from as many teams on the site. Over the course of a month fans are invited to interact with the teams, and eventually vote on their favorite pitch. A web comic based on the winning pitch will be published later this year.

One of the things I love about Cynopsis is that when it comes to plain ol' regular TV, it seems to get everything right. But the Kids edition and the Digital edition always seem to have these eensy little mistakes in them that grate on me. Like "the Tron".

Only 495 people are ahead of me in line for a ravelry.com invite! Oh please oh please hurry up, 495 people!

In other news, I finished my dad's overdue slippers while in line for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and I think they came out quite nice for a pattern I sorta kinda made up. One of them is lopsided, though.

Also finished my mom's blanket, of which the knit pieces have been done for months, but the boring sewing bits always make me not want to finish things.

Right now I'm working on a Sock Monkey baby set for a coworker whose wife is expecting, and a turd-shaped toilet paper cozy. Let's see how those turn out. If the latter is really awesome, I'm thinking of submitting the pattern to The Anticraft, as it seems right up their alley.

The blanket I'm working on for myself (mine is in red, grey, and black) has about three repetitions done of the pattern, so it's coming along quite nicely. I'm not terribly advanced enough to do a lot of patternwork or lace, but luckily this one isn't too hard, and Homespun yarn is VERY FORGIVING.
