I've been so busy today, I haven't checked LJ at all. I just went back 200 posts, and can do no more! If you had any major life event after yesterday at noon and before this morningish, please let me know.
I wrote a letter to Wawa at wawa.com, asking why they have no stores up here in my neck of the woods. You know what I just got at their inferior shithead competitor, Quik Chek? A MEATBALL WRAP. Not a meatball sub, which their little shitty touch screen menu didn't seem to offer; a meatball wrap. And by wrap, I mean the deli worker threw some meatballs on a tortilla and sorta kinda folded it. It's so terrible. Just, shitty shitty awful terrible. I wanted to cry. At least I have Doritos.

Feministe had this video posted today about the proposed South Dakota abortion ban. If you don't know, South Dakota is proposing a ban on abortion that would have no exceptions for health of the mother, rape, or incest.
But maybe voices of dissent have softened Bill Napoli, State Senator (R). He's a strong proponent of the complete and utter ban, but now seems to think there are situations where there might be exceptions (take the video to about 3:15 to kick it off right good).
I don't usually like to be the one who instantly jumps on the "You are what you fear" bandwagon - homophobes are really closeted, etc. - but check out how many times he says "brutally raped", and how this good holy virgin girl must be "sodomized as bad as you can possibly make it." I get the sense that young Billy had a lot of little fantasies about taking down one of the choir girls ifyaknowwhatimean. He's put entirely too much thought into how this girl has been raped to be allowed abortion. Oh, and if she wasn't a virgin planning on saving herself, she must be a slut who deserves it, and now should be saddled with a baby. Awesome.
