I feel pretty, oh so pretty...
Mar. 27th, 2006 01:16 pmWoke up this morning with the sun shining in my room and birds singing at my window and feeling unsick and awake and wonderful and alive, just like a Disney princess! (Though there was a naked man in bed next to me, and, as I understand it, they leave those scenes on the cutting room floor.) I came to work this morning smiling and bouncy and in love and happy with the world at large.
Doctor said I'm all cured - cold and infection has left the building. I still have a cough, but that's just leftover phlegm from before (aren't you glad I'm on your friends list?). The only problem is that my thyroid is being a bit inactive, and so I have to take a pill every day for the rest of my life to supplement it. Stupid thyroid. Good news: this hormone does not interfere with those other magical hormones I already take to prevent pregnancy. Is it too early to just get my tubes tied? I can only handle one pill a day, people.
I'm back at work, which is wonderful. I don't do sitting around doing nothing well. I need things to keep me entertained. Along that note, I knit a hat and a scarf. They don't match, and they're both rather large. Yikes. And just in time, too, as it's a lovely 58 degrees today.
Back to work! Life is good.
