Stuff I did today!
Aug. 21st, 2004 08:57 pmPaid my bills, which wasn't as fun. Applied and got approved for an Exxon Card, which is good since they're my preferred gas station, and I buy gas every other day. I figure I can use it, pay it off every pay day, and get any gas-related rewards n stuff. Smart, eh?
Rob and I went up to Deptford for some shopping. Picked up a new issue of Bust at Barnes & Nobles (I love this magazine so much!) They didn't have Pretear 2, TriMax 2, or the special Trigun 1 in hardcover. Sigh.
Bought Evangelion Platinum with the box at Best Buy for $25. I couldn't resist! It's so shiny! And it was only $25! AND SO SHINY! Gendo looked up at me from the top of the box and it was sold. (Oh, baby.) Geez, I guess I have to pick up the next six volumes too, then. Sigh. While at BB, I also helped out a little old lady who was trying to figure out the right Trigun DVD her son wanted. I'm like a knight in shining armor. Or a Trigun fangirl in a tank top that advises women to beware of perverts on the train. Parents said they'd like to buy me a laptop for Christmas, or at least put up half the money for one, so was pricing laptops at Best Buy. Most of them were $1000 or more - aren't they usually on sale at BB? Anyone know a decent place to buy?
Wandered around le mall. Bought a Stitch umbrella (it has ears! and a face!) and Hello Kitty lip balm! It's the little things that make me happy. Picked up Sealab season 1 at Sam Goody cuz Triple Points weekend, and reserved Aladdin Platinum Edition. (On that note, Mulan Special Edition DVD is coming out later this year. NICE.) Got Lupin III first two mangas at Waldenbooks, which didn't have Pretear 2 or TriMax 2, either. They're both available on Amazon.com, but Waldenbooks said they'll be in in October. I think it's a right-wing conspiracy, since TriMax has everyone's (well, apparently not EVERYONE) favourite bad priest on the cover, and Pretear has such sexual imagery and pretty feminine boys.
In short, much money was unloaded today. ...Whoot? I shall let Rob check his email, then commence in the fic writing and drabble posting.
