40cakesIn my previous post, I mentioned an article that I had a chance of looking for if I got bored at work. I remember being linked to it from the ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
childfree community, so stopped in to see if I could find it quickly.
No such luck.
And man, some of those people = crazy fucks.
I don't want children. Why? Because I'm utterly self-involved and the idea of handing over the rest of my life to this little person just turns me off. But there are plenty of people I've met in my life who are very good parents - loving and kind, disciplinary when needed, yada yada yada. And I'm glad. SOMEONE has to perpetuate the species. I won't hold it against someone that they like children and happen to maybe have one or two around the house. Nor do I hold it against them if they give me that knowing smile and say, "Oh, you'll want one of your own someday." Because hey - maybe I will! One day I'll be 32 (God willing), and some guy'll be all, "Shit, bitch, you is fine," and I'll be all, "Shit, bitch, you is fine as well," and we'd make some fine offspring. I've changed my mind before. But as of right now, none of that is in my plan.
But some of these people are of the type that make one say, "Good! I'm GLAD you're not having children! And stop being on my side!"
